Day 13 - Bangkok
After breakfast at your hotel, your bike guide will meet you at your hotel lobby for a day out exploring Bangkok on two wheels. After a quick bike fitting and briefing, we head out and explore Bangkok on two wheels. We will be cycling off the main road on small lanes, alleyways and canal boats to immerse you in the soul of Bangkok.
Ferry and cycle to the communities of Santa Cruz Wat Kalayanamit
Here along the banks of the Chao Phraya River is where Bangkok first began. We’ll park our bikes at the first Christian community of Santa Cruz and visit the descendants of the early Portuguese traders who have been making a Portuguese cupcake for over 5 generations. We then pedal to the neighbouring Chinese Thai temple of Wat Kalayanamit and the site of Bangkok's first Chinatown. Wat Kalyanamit houses Bangkok's largest sitting Buddhist image.
Cycle to Wat Hongrattanaram
Here we will park our bikes briefly to see a shrine devoted to the first king of Bangkok, Taksin. The Chapel of Wat Hongrattanaram is the largest in Thonburi and, according to some, the most beautiful in Bangkok.
Cycle Khlong Bang Luang and the Artist’s Village
Cycling back lanes and pedalling along small tree-lined canals, we will arrive at an old wooden market with a historic community temple. Centuries ago, trading communities formed along the canals on the outskirts of Bangkok to buy the goods coming to market from the outlying farms and orchards. The former wealth of these trading communities can be seen in the elegant architecture of the temples they left behind.
A local Thai lunch by Bang Luang Canal
Enjoy a simple tasty Thai lunch in a local eatery by the canal in the grounds of the community temple. Thailand is known for its variety of spices and flavours and your meal will surely be a highlight of the day.
Traditional Thai Puppet Show
A group of Artists has taken up residence in a 200-year-old traditional wooden house on the banks of Khlong Bang Luang. Marvel at a show of the most unique puppetry you may ever see, as the art is combined with traditional Khon dance by the Hoon Lek puppeteers. The modern inhabitants of the old wooden trading houses these days sell artwork and vintage crafts as well as fish food for you to feed the abundant fish in the canal.
Ply the Canals and the Chao Phraya River
After stowing the bikes in the back of a long tail boat, you and your guide wind your way down the ancient canals to the Chao Phraya River. Sailing up the River of the Kings, you will pass the Grand Palace before docking near Khaosan Rd where your driver will be waiting to escort you back to your hotel.

Day 14 - Bangkok
Free day to relax and explore your surroundings at your leisure.
06.00 pm - Tonight, meet your guide at your hotel and hop aboard your tuk-tuk, a fun and commonly used open- air vehicle that easily accommodates two passengers. Your tour takes place after the temperature drops, bypassing heavily trafficked routes. Hop on and off the tuk tuk as you explore the city with your guide. Your guide provides an overview of Thailand’s capital and insights into local life as you take in the beauty of Bangkok by night and explore markets, temples and its varied cuisine. Stop at famous temples such as Wat Pho to admire its golden pagodas lit up at night and walk through the famous 24-hour flower market, where vivid colours are in full bloom under the fluorescent lights. At nightfall, Bangkok comes alive with food vendors, and you’ll stop to sample some of the best food in the city before finishing with a delicious dessert at a mystery stop.
Your first visit is to Chinatown, one of Bangkok's most authentic and thriving districts, where it seems time has stood still. The streets here are lined with incredible food stalls and charcoal stoves full of mouth-watering foods. Explore on foot Pak Khlong Talat, Bangkok's fascinating flower market. This is one of the world's biggest flower markets, and you're sure to be captivated by the kaleidoscope of smells and colours from the millions of flowers and vegetables for sale here. Back on the Tuk Tuk, you sweep through the small alleys and historic roads while they're lit up at night. Pass by and enjoy great views of Metal Castle, Democracy Monument, Marble Temple, and Giant Swing. The Thai capital really takes on a new dimension after dark, and Wat Pho at night is something totally different and much more enjoyable in contrast to the overcrowded venues in the daytime. Visiting at night gives it an enchanting vibe, and you'll be amazed by the picturesque pagodas and stupas graciously lit up. Before you end the night, you will be able to enjoy a drink at a rooftop bar.
